A Home Language International immersion course means you live the language you are learning and is the fastest, most natural way to learn.
You are staying in your teacher’s home, have one-to-one language lessons and continue to use and practise your language skills sharing the daily life of your teacher’s family during meals, conversations, visits and activities as they all take place in the language you are studying.
Programmes available

10-25 hours per week of one-to-one language lessons + the chosen activities (ALL costs included)
Language programme with cultural excursions
We have combined your language course with trips to discover the sights and customs of the country you are visiting. The cultural programme usually includes 3 visits with your teacher or any adult member of the family. Where there is a choice of visits these will depend on family location and your personal preference. All excursions are in the target language so you’ll be learning as you explore!
This programme includes:
Full board accommodation in your teacher’s home
10 to 25 hours private language lessons per week
3 cultural visits including transport & entrance fees (where applicable) for you and the accompanying person

AMERSFOORT:
My language lessons in Amsterdam began with a warm welcome in Amersfoort, where I was able to spend the first week of my language lessons in a quiet environment. Here I learned the basics of the language. A private room serves as a retreat and offers everything needed for a pleasant stay. In the fixed lessons, the content was adapted to my personal needs. In the afternoon, Amersfoort offers exciting excursion destinations that complement the language course well. The teacher went to great lengths to ensure a pleasant stay.
AMSTERDAM
After the first week in Amersfoort, I moved to bustling Amsterdam. The house is located near Artis. The location offers a lot to discover and everything is reachable in a very short time. The teacher is a very upbeat and lovely person. During my stay, I got to know not only the language but also the culture and the city. The room is very small, but there is space for the essentials. This teacher also makes every effort to offer a pleasant stay.
Language international provided exemplary support and assistance throughout my language study trip.
I really had a wonderful time in Amsterdam at Irene Hertel's place. Even though already 82 years old she is not old fashioned at all. For me, 62 years old, it was very inspiring and we had a good time together. The meals she prepared were very good and always served with a glass of wine.
we talked at least 3,5 hours in Dutch every day and I had no problems at all to find my way around in the Netherlands - ALL in DUTCH.
Irene organized meetings I could attempt, she made 2 invitations at her home with very interesting guests - Wednesday diner with her friends in the mensa of Amsterdam's university and one evening "borrele" at a vernissage.
This was my first homestay experience program, and it was great! I had the best homestay parents ever, who really cared for me and taught the language in a very nice method. I stayed with them for 1 month, and they provided me a nice bedroom and cooked the typical Dutch food too! Their house was very clean and well-organized. The environment was also very nice, with a very good location and friendly neighbourhood. My homestay parents also introduced me to some of the neighbors around. Again, it was a nice experience of studying and learning the culture and the experience of living like locals. :)
