Classes:
We had one-on-one lessons which flexibly adapted to my respective needs. The class materials / photo copies were rather crummy though, and it would be helpful if the institute would provide (or hint to) a standardized teaching material for structure.
Teachers:
They had friendly teachers with broad experiences, and the will to share their deep knowledge in language, history, and philosophy. I reached my personal goals like getting inspiration, bundling my existing but somewhat dispersed knowledge, building up new skills; and planning my next steps.
Location:
The institute is situated 40 km from the city of Ancona at the foot of the hills around Castelbellino and Castelplanio, which makes it easily reachable by bicycle or car from Jesi. It is dfficult by public transportation, though. There is also a bike path leading along the Esino River.
Facilities:
Bright, friendly, yet frugal. I liked it though.
Activities:
This part is not really applicable, since not much was desire, but as a future hint: city tours (Jesi) on the last day of a visit are to no avail, particularly if you're self-organized. Even so, the warm welcome by the director of the institute on the evening of my arrival was fantastic, so there was a will to make my stay comfortable.
The region offers a variety of things to do, with regard to history, landscape, wine tasting, famous people, the sea, or simply the town of Ancona.
Housing:
I stayed at the B&B in the old Center of Jesi. I was privately booked. It was an excellent accommodation.
