English Courses UK at BLS English run throughout the year except for a two-week break over the Christmas period. Entry into any of the BLS English courses is very flexible and it is possible to start most Mondays in the year for a minimum of 2 weeks. Before you arrive or on your first day in school, you will be sent an English language test which will help us to choose your class before you arrive to make the most of every minute. Perhaps you have a particular reason for studying? An exam you would like to sit now or in the future? Let us know and we will help. We aim to support and advise you from start to finish. You will have daily homework and weekly progress tests so we can check your progress and help you achieve your goals. We want you to be happy and we do everything we can to make this experience as productive as possible.
Camp Finborough is the ultimate adventurous camp experience – the activities on offer are endless and they go a long way in supporting language development. The programme is varied, with a selection of activity sessions on offer for everyone all designed to encourage constant use of English for listening and communication. In addition to crate climbing, quad biking, games, and sports, Camp Finborough also has a river for water-based activities such as kayaking, canoeing and raft building and two woodland areas for climbing, abseiling, bush craft, and campfires! To benefit the most from our English course at Finborough, we recommend that children have at least one year of English experience before coming to camp. We offer a range of levels suitable for age and ability of 10 to 14 year olds ranging from Preliminary (A1) to Intermediate (B1). English lessons at Xplore are totally different to school; firstly our class sizes are small, with a maximum of 12 children per class this allows focused integration with other learners and the teacher. We also make sure to utilise a range of teaching approaches suitable for a range of learners, this makes the classes really interactive and encourages learners to have fun whilst learning which can enhance development. At the end of the 2-week course, learners will complete an examination for the level they have been learning at. We will then receive a certificate from Anglia Examinations, which confirms your English level in accordance with the European Framework of Reference. Classroom learning time per week is 20 hours and our class sizes are same with approximately 12 students per teacher. For students achieving a passing grade or higher for B1, they will receive an Ofqual approved certificate through Anglia Examinations partnership with AIM Awards.
