You stay in an experienced teacher's family home, have one-to-one English lessons and then continue to use the language during the rest of your stay in Hereford. Your teacher is certified by the University of London with a BA Hons in MFL and a PGDE from Aberystwyth University and an MA in English Literature.
We offer a minimum of four hours daily of formal lessons and continuous language immersion.
The afternoons are yours: you can enjoy the house and garden, the garden is bordered by a small river. We can taxi you free to nearly all of the following activities and back:-

Honddu Villa is five miles north of the welsh market-town of Brecon. Brecon is famous for the
Brecon Beacons (mountains) and is popular with walkers. The property is a detached five-
bedroomed residence in a rural valley and is surrounded by fields. The front of the property is
Georgian; it is a modern extension to the original eighteenth-century cottage, and it stands alone in
an acre of garden. It is bordered by a small and pretty river. The Honddu River is slow moving and
shallow - three feet at the deepest - and about twenty feet from bank to bank. One can have
breakfast on the riverbank while overlooking the water and it is normal to see kingfishers fly close-
by.
Rooms appointed are primarily for language-learners staying for a language-immersion experience.
Plenty of cupboard and draw space is made available for guests in their appointed room.

Cardiff English Language Academy is a small British Council accredited Academy. The Academy is located at the heart of Cardiff city centre and a 5-minute walk from the train station and Cardiff Castle. We have flexible courses that run all year round.
